The exception to this is if you are a medical entity that receives Medicare/Medicaid/Tricare reimbursements for your patients. AED units everywhere must be inspected on a monthly basis (even though the FRx defibrillators are equipped with a self-checking function). Save A Life Denver provides a user-friendly, online software database to prompt you via email each month to check your device.
Note: There is NO COST associated with the inspection and maintenance requirements for your AED through participation in Save A Life Denver.
The American Red Cross will not invoice you for your defibrillator (Red Cross only invoices for CPR/AED training). Philips Healthcare will invoice you for your defibrillator after you have sent your completed AED order form to the Red Cross. Your payment options are via credit/debit card or purchase order. For individuals interested in purchasing an AED for home/personal use: It is not possible to have an installment plan for purchasing your defibrillator.
